A hilarious incident took place in Huzurabad, Karimnagar district, Telangana on Tuesday where two goats were arrested for grazing on saplings planted by Government under the ‘Telanganaku Haritha Haram’ initiative.
“Goats had been repeatedly destroying the almond saplings planted by Huzirabad municipality” told by ‘Save the trees’ NGO.
Goats were freed after the owner was charged a fine of Rs. 1000 because it is said that these two goats were complete menace who ate away 250 wild almond saplings out of 980.
This was not the first time when these two goats destroyed the saplings.
The NGO caught them red handed on Tuesday and handed them over to Police for further investigation and to keep a check on peril acts of these goats.
The Owner,Dornakonda Rajaiah, a resident of Kummariwada had to pay the fine of Rs.1000 in order to get his goats back.
Police advised Rajaiah to graze his goats on the outskirts of the town or at home without leaving them unsupervised.
One of the members, Kyasa Vikranth, of Save the trees NGO complained about troublemaker goats “We have planted 980 saplings of wild almond using our own capital but these goats destroyed many of them”.
It is praiseworthy how this state is working to increased the forest cover with help of Telanganaku Haritha Haram state government initiative.
State Government has also spent crores of funds to plant saplings and maintain them to encourage Greenery in state.
