Tik Tok alternate is very much on the cards as Instagram is said to be working on a short video concept to cash in the opportunity of the Tik Tok ban in India.

Facebook may also be eyeing on the countries where the Tik Tok Ban has recently taken place like Hong Kong and the USA which is said to be next in line to ban the Chinese app citing data security.

The feature is currently under several developments and tests as per the website Business Insider and is said to named as Instagram Reels.

Recently, Facebook shut down its Tik Tok Rival Lasso and will take down the app from the play store on 10th July after it failed to gain the audience and compete Tik Tok.

Although Lasso was a completely different app, Reels is just going to be an added feature in Instagram via which users can make short videos similarly as Tik Tok.

The feature is already available in France and Germany where a user can upload a short music video as an Instagram story. This new feature is currently being tested in Brazil and India could be very much on the cards next.

A Facebook representative was heard saying that the feature is an upgrade to the usual Reels features that most countries already have. The launch would make a video making more fun and interesting.
