A 23-year-old girl identified as Subhasri had to lose her life after a banned banner of AIADMK fell on her while she was riding on the road in Tamil Nadu. The banner floored her down only to be crushed by a tanker immediately which was approaching behind her.
The incident occurred in Pallikaranai of Tamil Nadu around 2:30 PM on 12th September 2019.
Opposition leader MK Stalin expressed condolences to the Demised woman’s family by saying that it was purely a case of negligence that took the life of an innocent girl.
He also bashed the state Government on twitter by tweeting, “Subashree has died due to negligence of the government, inefficient police officers. Illegal banners have taken yet another life. My deepest condolences to her family,”
The Madras High Court had issued an order to ban heavy banners of living persons and political parties in 2017. but the State Government has continued violating the law by putting heavy banners and hoardings due to which the techie had to lose her life.
The girl, an employee with a tech firm in Kanthanchavadi and was on her way home to Nemilicheri, Chromepet after finishing her shift when the mishap unfolded.
