Rashtriya Swayam Sevak (RSS) workers took to deliver food packets and ration to the sex workers in the G.B Road area of the Indian capital, New Delhi.

The workers were spotted wearing protective gears while distributing ration to the poor sex workers and their families who were said to be the worst-hit amidst the COVID-19 crisis.

While speaking to the News Agency ANI Joint General Secretary, Delhi RSS wing, said; “We have launched a helpline to help those who are without food and ration due to the lockdown. We get almost 10,000 calls every day and today one of our workers got a call from here.”

“We prepared a list of 986 sex workers as per our survey and divided it into 250 groups and then distributed 250 kits.”

One of the workers said; “In a single kit there is 10Kg of Wheat, 5Kg Rice, 2Kg Rice, 1Kg Sugar, cooking oil, spices and tea leaves.”

“Each kit can help a family of six survive for a week to ten days.”

The groups are usually contacted after a week, and if required they will be resupplied with the contents to make them survive for yet another week or so.

Although RSS is always at the gunpoint of the liberals, their work is highly commendable.

We at “The Change For A Better India” salute their noble intention to help the poor and needy.
