In a shameful incident, a man from Prayagraj in Uttar Pradesh was forced to carry his wife’s body on a cart for 45 Kilometres after the hospital refused an ambulance to ferry the body to his home.
The woman died in the Swaroop Rani Nehru Hospital during the treatment and pleaded the hospital authorities to arrange for an ambulance but it fell on the deaf ears.
When the hospital authorities were questioned about the incident, they said that there was no such record of the woman’s admission in the hospital or her death.
While the victim Kallu has confirmed having admitted his wife to the hospital after she received serious head injuries.
The eyewitnesses were left shocked after seeing Kallu carry the body of his wife’s body on a cart.
After a strong backlash, the Health Minister of Uttar Pradesh, Mr Siddharth Nath Singh has taken cognizance of the matter and ordered a probe into the incident.
He has promised strong action against the hospital and the authorities if found guilty.
