Shocking: No Power, Doctor Stitches Up Patient’s Wounds Under Cell Phone Flashlight In UP

An abberant incident exposes the deplorable condition of hospitals in the state of UP. Having no electricity at the hospital,the doctors had to initiate the treatment and stitch the sutures of a patient under the flashlight of a mobile phone.

The incident took place in the District Combined hospital in Shikohabad on Sunday.

The patient, an accident victim, was brought to the hospital on Saturday.

Owing to the power cut and discharged inverter and in such a hapless condition, doctors had to stitch the wound using the flashlight of a cellphone.

The treating doctor Abhishek said that the matter will be reported to the chief medical officer so that the power conditions can be improved.

This is the second time that a patient was treated under such a condition in the hospital.
